Journalist turned B2B marketing strategist. Sixteen years of finding the real story in complex markets and turning it into growth.

I started in journalism. Five years at one of Germany's largest media groups, writing features, covering local politics, managing freelancers. It gave me two things I've carried into everything since: a refusal to commit to a story until the evidence supports it, and a sharp instinct for what actually matters in a noisy market.
I moved to Australia in 2009 and built a career across the full arc of B2B marketing, from conference production at Informa, to content strategy and then agency leadership at Brand chemistry, to building the marketing function from scratch at Sinorbis.
I've been the person who builds the thing that didn't exist yet. The content function. The revenue operations. The marketing team. The attribution model. The HubSpot partnership that became a meaningful recurring revenue stream. I've done this across media, SaaS, agencies, cleantech, health, education, and enterprise technology.
In 2026, I founded Signal & Orbit to work directly with founders and leadership teams who need senior marketing capability without the overhead of a full-time hire.
Good marketing is both creative and rigorous. Both brand and performance. Both long-game and commercially accountable. Most organisations end up having to choose, usually because of budget, capacity, or a leadership team that sees these things as trade-offs rather than complements.
That gap between strategy and execution is where most of my clients find me. They know what they're trying to build. They just don't have the team or the senior capability to close the distance between the plan and the result.
I work with a small number of clients at a time because depth beats breadth. I'm based in Lake Macquarie because I've built a life around meaningful work, and the mountain bike trails help.
If you're building something that matters and need someone who's done this across enough contexts to know what actually works, I'd like to hear from you.
No pitch decks. No pressure. Just a conversation about where you are and what might come next.
